Fahrenheit 451: Motifs

  • Imagery: In the book the imagery of nature and animals is really big because its describe that nature is shown as the innocence and how humans ignores the nature while being obsessed with technology.

  • Drug abuse and suicide: Through the book the reader can see how powerfull drugs become very common in peoples life and is seen when Montags wife nearly died from drug abuse.

  • Government:  The government in the book shows how they make people ignorant from different situations by censoring the sources of knowladge like books.

  • Religion: The religion makes reference in the book because of the need of knowladge just like in Adam and Eve story that they wanted to feel powerfull just like Montag, nonless Bradbury uses language and imagery from the Bible to resolve the novel.
